Handmade traditional windows for listed cottage.
Kivist Joinery was asked to design and make high quality casement windows for a traditional cottage in Childrey in Oxfordshire.
The cottage had small paned windows that restricted the natural light. Part of the brief was to create new windows allowing in more natural light that were in keeping with the age of the cottage and local period styles. Current glazing technology allow for energy efficient glass to be used in combination with the more traditional window styles.
The windows were made from Accoya using traditional tenons, glazing bars and Slimlite glass. Created from sustainably sourced softwood, Accoya wood exceeds the durability, stability and beauty of many hardwoods. The coatings used give the windows superior protection and minimal maintenance.
All our windows are fitted by Kivist Joinery to ensure the finished result is of the highest standard.
